Some tips for healthy pregnancy
You can feel wonderful during your pregnancy, if you take good care of yourself. Increase your odds of a healthy pregnancy by following some simple and sensible steps to keep yourself fit to enjoy a healthy and beautiful pregnancy.

Eat five to six times a day, and the diet should include all the nutrients, especially calcium, iron and Vitamin D.

Also drink plenty of fluid, at least eight to ten glasses a day. Avoid drinking alcohol, caffeine and artificial colouring.

In the first few weeks, a pregnant woman should stay away from papaya and pineapple, because these two fruits have certain enzymes that are not good for foetus development. She should also avoid eating raw, or uncooked meat and raw eggs.

Folic acid is one supplement that every women should take, because the baby's neural tube is formed during the first two weeks, and folic acid is a very important supplement for that. It helps building the neural tube well.

Exercising is a good way to keep the body moving and avoid water retention, in the pregnant woman's body. Walking is the best exercise. Apart from this swimming, breathing exercises and yoga are also good.

Have a good night sleep, at least for eight hours. If you are suffering from sleep disturbances, then try to take naps during the day time.

The most important thing to be remembered, is to avoid over-the-counter medications. Finally, the best way to have healthy pregnancy is to eat well, exercise well and also think positively.
