Sonakshi Sinha flags off Smile Foundation's first mobile hospital
A new beginning is always welcomed with open arms, especially if the new beginning helps people around. Smile foundation, a national level development organisation, with Shakuntalam Charitable Foundation launched its first mobile hospital in Mumbai. Called 'Smile on Wheels,' the event was flagged off by none other then bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha.

Apart from Sinha, the event was also attended by Shyamashis Bhattacharya along with his wife Neelima Bajpai from Shakuntalam Charitable Foundation, who handed over the key of the mobile hospital to Vikram Singh Verma, Chief Operating Officer of Smile Foundation.

Sonakshi, who is known for her films such as Lootera, Dabangg and Son of Sardar was enthusiastic and spoke about the importance of good health on this occasion. She said, ?Good health is a basic human right and sadly its one the most neglected thing in today's world. I am really pleased to associate with Smile Foundation's new initiative, Smile on Wheels mobile hospital. I am sure Smile on Wheels mobile hospital has proved to be a beautiful Diwali gift for the deserving communities in Mumbai bringing good health, survival and hope. I applaud the efforts of Smile Foundation for bringing best possible health-care to the doorsteps of those who need it the most in the city of Mumbai.?

Smile on Wheels will provide preventive and curative healthcare services to the underprivileged women and children at their doorsteps. It is equipped with latest medical equipments and a medical team. Audio-visual equipment is also in place inside the mobile unit to spread awareness about issues regarding health and hygiene in the community. 

Smile on Wheels in Mumbai will begin its services in the areas of Andheri, Malwani, Kalina, Vakhola, Dindoshi, Khardanda, Behramnagar Khar, Hanuman Takeri and Film City reaching out to 10,000 beneficiaries in a year.
