Sonali Bendre, suffering from cancer, receives a surprise visitor in Akshay Kumar
Sonali Bendre had revealed on Wednesday that she had been diagnosed with high-grade cancer. The 43-year-old actress, who is currently undergoing treatment in New York had a surprise visitor.

Sonali's former co-star Akshay Kumar, who had been holidaying in New York along with his family, dropped by to pay her a visit, reported Hindustan Times.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Akshay Kumar said, "I know Sonali is a fighter. May God help bring her back in the best of health."

Akshay Kumar and Sonali Bendre had starred together in many Bollywood films during the 90s like Sapoot, Angaaray and Keemat. In fact, one of Sonali's last film appearances was with Akshay Kumar in the 2013 film One Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara!

From Karan Johar to Madhur Bhandarkar, wishes continue to pour in for her good health and speedy recovery from the Bollywood fraternity.

Sonali Bendre is married to Goldie Behl and they have a 13-year-old son. Both Goldie Behl and their son Ranveer are presently with Sonali.

The actress was recently seen judging TV reality show India's best Dramebaaz alongside Vivek Oberoi. The actress had to take a break from the show and all her prior commitments for seeking treatment.

Besides featuring in TV shows including India's Got Talent and Mission Sapne, Sonali has also written a book on parenting. The actress has also done many popular films in Hindi, Marathi and Telugu.

SpotBoyeE spoke to Sonali's sister -in-law Shrishti Arya, a couple of hours back. She was quoted as saying, "Yes, it happened suddenly. Aisi sab baatein suddenly hi hoti hain."

"Sonali is a fighter. She will definitely prevail. She has a lot of positive energy. She will be back. We are all very grateful for the outpouring of love," she added further.
