Sony Ericsson launches its first 5 megapixel phone

Sony Ericsson has launched its first phone that has a 5 megapixel, autofocus Cybershot camera �� the K850i. This shall be a huge hindrance for the Nokia��s N95 5 MP camera phone as the price of this phone is expected to be less than that of the N95.

THE SONY ERICSSON K850i phone is ready with 16x digital zoom and some other camera features that surely give it an edge over its competitors. Some features are:

BestPic: This feature permits clicking as many as nine images at once so you can select the best from those images.

Photofix: This is the other feature incorporated into the K850i, which automatically corrects the combination of light, contrast and brightness to provide the best images.

PictBridge: The camera is also compatible with PictBridge. PictBridge is a standardized technology that allows printing images from a memory card in a digital camera directly to a printer, not considering the brand.

Xeon Flash & VGA camera: The camera is equipped with Xenon flash and an auto lens cover with three LEDs for shooting in video mode. It has a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

This K850i phone shall eliminate your urge to carry a music player while on the move, this phone is also intended to be a totally functional multimedia device for music, videos and podcasts. It has a reasonable sized 2.2 inch crystal bright display that is also scratch-resistant, with 262K colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels.

3G capabilities, HSDPA, EDGE, Bluetooth with A2DP compatibility, and USB are supported as well, for the best possible connectivity option in the K850i.

FM radio with RDS and TrackId for music recognition is amongst the other very attractive features integrated in the phone. There is also a motion sensor with an auto rotate feature that displays images in the correct aspect – portrait or landscape – irrespective of the direction it was taken in.

This phone is surely a must buy, as the phone is not release officially, it does not carry the price tag. It is expected to release somewhere between October – November 2007.
