Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 launched in India
Xperia X8 also has location based servicea like AGPS, Google Maps, Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation in selected regions. It comes with a 2GB memory space which can be further upgraded to 16GB. The phone has a internal memory of 128 MB.
AFTER A successful launch in other Asian countries, Sony Ericsson launched its latest Android based mobile phone Xperia X8 in India at Rs 13,900. The phone was launched in June 2010 in Singapore but the India debut for the phone came only in October albeit the phone was unveiled in August.
 
Looking at the price and the specifications of the phone, it may be put right between X10 mini and X10 mini pro although the X8 comes with a larger 3.0-inch scratch resistance capacitive screen with a higher 320x480 resolution.
 
The only disappointment for many would be the 3.2 mega pixel camera which comes with fixed focus. The camera will also enable the user to upload photographs directly to Facebook. Xperia X8 also features GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900, UMTS HSPA 900/2100 and UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900/2100. When it comes to connectivity, the phone allows Push email, Instant messaging, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support with Dataviz RoadSync, Picture messaging (MMS), Predictive text input.

The phone runs on Google Android 1.6 operating system with 600MHZ processor. This 3G ready phone has quicker connectivity options like WiFi and Bluetooth. It also features the Timescape and four corner homescreen as the Xperia Series.
