Singer Alanis Morissette married her rapper boyfriend MC Souleye in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles.

SINGER ALANIS Morissette married her rapper boyfriend MC Souleye in a secret ceremony in Los Angeles.The Grammy winner exchanged vows with the hip-hop star, whose real name is Mario Treadway, in an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home on May 22.

It is the first marriage for the couple, who married a week before Morissette's 36th birthday. They reportedly began dating in October, 2009. Morissette was previously engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds but the stars split in 2006. He is now married to Scarlett Johansson.

The nuptials took place in a small ceremony that included their families and it marks the first marriage for both Morissette and Treadway.

The singer became engaged to actor Ryan Reynolds, who is currently married to actress Scarlett Johansson. Reynolds began dating Johansson shortly after their separation.

On his MySpace page, a biographical write up about MC Souleye reads, “His freestyling prowess has earned him rave reviews and a rabid following who look to him for his ability to use his wordplay in ways heretofore never heard.”

Morissette’s single “I Remain” is featured in the film "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time," which came in fourth at the box office over the weekend by earning $13.9 million.
