South African exhibitors are really excited to see the keen interest among Indians for their handicrafts. This year's trade fair is providing the perfect opportunity for them to win the hearts of Indians.
THE INDIAN International Trade Fair (IIFT) Delhi has got off to a good start this year. Exhibitors from South Africa are over the moon as within two days they have started feeling that this year might be special. Ceramics painted with African Zulu designs and various other artefacts from the country are selling like hot cakes and the traders are hopeful of a repeat performance of the 2008 fair where every piece of artefact was sold by them in the very first week.

The trade fair is a big affair and a nice way for Indians to know various cultures of other countries. Organised in Pragati Maidan and closing on November 27, all the visiting businessmen from visiting countries are really excited. An African trader said that the best thing about the trade fair is that after the fair enhances their business and boosts sales.
Indians who are visiting the trade fair this year are also excited about the array of South African things that they can choose from. The South African exhibitors have bought textile, beaded jewellery, hand-made ceramics, wood sculptures, leather goods, painting and an assortment of traditional wall hangings from all the regions of the country.
As reported in indiatoday.com, the South African group is led by Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Elizabeth Thabethe, and they have bought 19 South African businessmen from the field of art and craft. They aim to promote maximum trade relations with India and the fair is the perfect opportunity.
