South Korea plans for e-books in classes by 2015
South Korea has decided to make learning fun and easier by introducing tablet PCs in classrooms, which would substitute the old style of text book study. They want to replace it by e-text books by 2015.

MOST OF us have grown up in an age where we had to carry a big bag on our shoulders, which would comprise of books and normally a pencil box too. The students in Korea may be soon changing this routine as they are no longer using text books in their classrooms but tablet PCs. Times are changing, it seems.

South Korea, now wants all educational material to become digitalized by the end of the year 2014. If this happens, then in 2015, the schools' syllabus would be administered through various computers, iPhones, and tablets. Some schools in South Korea have already started to replace textbooks with tablet PC’s. The budget that has been estimated for it will touch the $2.4 billion mark, which some people are considering it to be a big risk.

Samsung seems to be the favourite to get the majority of the deal as production are bound to increase for these devices.

These digital text books would comprise of content that is present in textbooks. It would also include references for the students along with a list of Frequently Asked Questions, which will help the students work become easier.

South Korea feels that their kids are very advanced in learning in the digitalised manner as they are able to store large information after they view it on the screen then the text books. South Korea has been experimenting with various e-text books on different tablets since 2008, which could benefit the students. South Korea is considered to comprise of one of the savviest computer navigators around the world. Other countries such as France, Singapore, and Japan may also follow on South Korean footsteps.
