The first jolt was felt around 9.26 pm which was followed by a quake of magnitude 3.9 across Riverside. This was followed by 11 more smaller quakes. Ocotillo region is prone to such quakes and this earthquake is much smaller in comparison to earlier quakes.
The quake was also felt by some residents in Los Angeles, Long Beach and Orange Country, according to US Geological Survey(USGS).A base ball match between Toronto Blue jays and San Diego Padres was briefly halted. The people inside the stadium were asked to remain calm and they responded with a cheer. No damages or injuries have been reported from Ocotillo, California.
