Spain will lift the FIFA 2010 Trophy : Paul, the Octopus predicts
Paul, the Octopus who has prophesied that Spain will grab the FIFA 2010 World Cup title this season, has even predicted that Germany will be at no.3 position followed by Holland at no.2.
FIFA 2010 World Cup fever will reach its climax on July 11, Sunday, when the final match between Spain and Netherlands will take place. The SoccerCity’s stadium in Johannesburg will be echoed by innumerable fans as it will be a hell interesting match.

Amidst this FIFA 2010 excitement, the latest news is about the great prophet-Paul, the Octopus who has prophesied that Spain will grab the FIFA 2010 World Cup title this season. He has even predicted that Germany will be at no.3 position followed by Holland at no.2.

Octopus Paul opens a box decorated with a Spanish flag and a shell inside at the Sea Life aquarium in Oberhausen, western Germany. This is Paul’s 7th prediction and all his previous six predictions have been true.

Prior to this, Octopus Paul Allen predicted about Germany Vs Australia group stage match on June 13 that Germany will win and they won. After this, he again prophesied about Serbia Vs Germany group stage match on June 18 in which Serbia was chosen by the octopus. Yet another true prophecy it proved out to be.

Henceforth, his prophecies have turned out to be correct on a trot. On June 23, the group stage match of Ghana Vs Germany, he chose Germany to be the winner.
Again in June 27 match of England Vs Germany, Germany emerged as the winner as predicted by Octopus baba. On July 3, the quarter-final match between Argentina and Germany was played and again Germany won as predicted by Paul. On July 7, the semi- final between Spain and Germany was taken over by Spain as the Octopus predicted.

The Uruguay Vs Germany match, 3rd place play-off, on July 10th recently was in Germany’s favor as pre-decided by him. And finally this international media celebrity, Paul octopus has claimed Spain as the trophy lifters for 2010 Football tournament.

It is noteworthy that till date, neither Spain nor Netherlands has ever won the FIFA World cup prior to this but this time both the teams have managed to reach the grand finale.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Zapatero has jokingly offered state protection for Paul, the Octopus, who has received death threats from German fans over his World Cup predictions. Paul the Octopus, from Aquarium Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany, had predicted the outcome of all six of Germany’s matches, including the 1-0 semi-final loss to Spain, by choosing to eat food from boxes adorned with the flags of Germany and its rivals.

Now Spain’s politicians are worried that some German fans may take their “revenge” on the octopus baba for their team’s exit.
