The scientific discoveries is the driving the plot of the film. Two biochemists, Clive (Adrien Brody) and Elsa (Sarah Polley) discover a synthetic polymer that has healing properties for farm animals. The scientist duo believe that if they take the experiment a little further and create similar thing for the humans to get rid of the diseases. But unfortunately the result of the experiment is horrifying thing that looks like a chicken with a baby’s head and grows into a bald girl with beautiful eyes, but birdlike legs.

Splice has been better than what most of the film buffs and critics expected. Both the actors have done a pretty good job. The film has been dragged mid-way through. On a whole, it is worth a one-time watch and don’t expect too much from the film.
