Spring clean your diet
Springs have arrived with a warmer weather, relaxing the months of cold winter. This is the perfect season to spring clean your diet. The fruits and veggies reaped in this season are the one with maximum nutritional value. So, take the advantage of the nutrition-packed season's fresh produce and energise yourselves. Here are few tips to spring clean your diet.

Switch to fiber rich options – clear your kitchen with junk foods including biscuits and chips and white flour items such as white breads and pasta. Switch to fiber rich options such as whole grains, ground nut, rice etc.

Activate your nuts, seeds and grains – Eating meals such as raw salads and steamed vegetables will aid the body's natural cleansing process. Cut down red meat and eat more vegetarian meals. Activate eating seeds, nuts and grains as they have more nutrients.

Stock up on fruits and vegetables – Stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables, be organic where you can and grab a variety of green leafy vegetables and fresh veggies for salad.

Replace coffee with a green smoothie or a veggie juice – This will deliver high levels of important nutrients and potent antioxidants to yourselves. Boost energy levels and promote optimal health.

Eat seasonal super foods – Seasonal super foods like mango, papaya, blue berries and cherries have high levels of antioxidants and Vitamin C which help prevent free radical damage and diseases such as cancer.

Think light. Think Green – Select a variety of colorful fruits and veggies, and try stir-fries and smoothies made with dark leafy greens. Also try to opt fruits and veggies as snacks.
