Sri Lankan serial blasts on Easter: Indian leaders condemn senseless violence
On the occasion of Easter Sunday, three Sri Lankan churches and three hotels were blasted serially killing at least 185 people and injuring over 500, reported the media.

Sri Lanka's Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has held an emergency meeting of the National Security Council following blasts to take the stock of the situation for immediate security tightening actions and rescue operations.

Ranil Wickremesinghe said via Twitter, "I strongly condemn the cowardly attacks on our people today. I call upon all Sri Lankans during this tragic time to remain united and strong. Please avoid propagating unverified reports and speculation. The government is taking immediate steps to contain this situation." 

Sri Lankan Easter serial horrific blasts in churches and hotels have caused massive casualties. Indian President and PM have condemned the senseless violence.

President of India, Ram Nath Kovind tweeted, "India condemns the terror attacks in Sri Lanka and offers its condolences to the people and government of the country. Such senseless violence, aimed at innocent people, has no place in civilised society. We stand in complete solidarity with Sri Lanka." 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and wrote, "Strongly condemn the horrific blasts in Sri Lanka. There is no place for such barbarism in our region. India stands in solidarity with the people of Sri Lanka. My thoughts are with the bereaved families and prayers with the injured."

India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj tweeted, "I am in constant touch with Indian High Commissioner in Colombo. We are keeping a close watch on the situation."
