The actress, known for her acting prowess, is back after 15 long years with another not so usual film. She is rigorously promoting her upcoming film 'English Vinglish' but claims that she did not miss the hustle and bustle of Bollywood.
SRIDEVI IS coming back to the silver screen with an interesting film named 'English Vinglish.' However, inspite of a long break of 15 years from all the glamour of the camera she was never absent from the various award functions or from her fans' mind. Even the actress herself feels that she did not miss 'lights camera, and action' for the last 15 years.
Known as the original female superstar Sridevi was last seen on screen in 1997 in the film Judaai. Talking about her hiatus and films she says, “Being a producer's wife I am always there in the location, shooting. So it might be because of that I did not miss Bollywood to that extent.” With a smile she adds, “And I was really busy taking care of my children and enjoying myself.
Granted that the 'Hawa Hawai' girl is loved by all and sundry of Bollywood but to again make a comeback and compete with actresses half her age is a daunting task and one that would scare anyone. But the actress is taking everything with a brave face and smile and has expressed her wish to work with the younger generation. Talking about the latest actresses she says, “They all are really talented. Everybody have their own charm and I want to work with everyone,” Sridevi told IANS.
Only time will tell what kinds of doors English Vinglish will open for the star but for now her fans cannot wait to see her on screen. The film is scheduled to be released on October 5 with Preity Zinta's 'Ishq in Paris' which is also Zinta's come back vehicle.
