With 100 crore hits such as Singhum and Bol Bachchan, Rohit Shetty has established himself as the champion of escapist cinema. His next film Chennai Express (CE), of the same genre, will see Shahrukh Khan donning his comic hat with Deepika Padukone. The first look of the posters have evoked a positive response.
THE FAN base of both Rohit Shetty and SRK would ensure that the film would became an instant hit. All the three posters released today has the South Indian feel. Lungi clad men with vibhudi adorned forehead gives the film a certain flavour. In one of the posters both SRK and Deepika Padukone are also wearing lungi and standing at the back of a train, which is presumably the Chennai Express.
Many a people on Twitter have expressed displeasure over the Tamilian caricature in the posters but there are people who have brushed aside their concern saying that the even Son of Sardar was made in similar lines. Chennai Express, is a story of a journey undertaken by a man from Mumbai to Rameshwaram.
Some of the spoilers of the film are that it has three major action sequels. The look and the feel of all action sequels is very Rohit Shetty, and SRK was seen shooting in the Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai on a Sunday. The film is currently being shot and is expected to finish shooting by March-April. On his Twitter account SRK tweeted “CE:Good shoot, good people, good vibes, good fun. Everyone feels, its sad the schedule is coming to an end. But v will be bak!Reddy..Steddy..” By now the people are also alluding to the tag line and using 'Reddy Steddy Po' as the identity for Chennai Express.
