Do you think it could be a film promotional stunt? THE UPCOMING Dharma Productions and Red Chilly Entertainments movie 'My Name is Khan' starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol is all set to release on February 12, 2010.
THE UPCOMING Dharma Productions and Red Chilly Entertainments movie ‘My Name is Khan’ starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol is all set to release on February 12, 2010. But much before its release the movie landed in trouble as Shiv Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray made a lot of hue and cry over the film and passed uncouth comments on the actor.
King Khan’s latest statement that he wants Pakistani cricketers to play in IPL 2010, and then his upcoming movie ‘My name is Khan’ which suggests that Shahrukh is proud of being a Muslim, rather than an Indian motivated Shiv Sena party leaders to make allegations against him. Shiv Sena supporters even created havoc outside Shahrukh’s house in Mumbai. They appealed for proscription and banning of the film and created ruckus outside theatres as well.
Shiv Sena supporters turned a deaf ear on Shahrukh’s statement that he had just expressed his views and he is proud of being an Indian. But what else can we expect from Shiv Sena? I genuinely think that all this can not be King Khan’s idea to promote his movie. His movies don’t need any promotion, he is a superstar, and has got a huge fan following. Every producer applies various strategies to promote his or her film but in this case I don’t think Shahrukh has used Shiv Sena’s stupidity or his own remarks on IPL as a promotional stunt for his upcoming film.
The movie is releasing tomorrow, and once again the Shahrukh-Kajol pair is coming together to rock the world. I am sure the movie will be a blockbuster and will hit the screens world wide. I suggest to Thackeray to quietly sit at home and watch Shahrukh’s movies and enjoy.
