Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, held a press conference under the chairmanship of its State President Rajiv Mahajan at Hotel Khanna Khazana Bus Stand Jammu.
RAJIV MAHAJAN, State President of Shri Ram Sena Jammu-Kashmir, visited Kashmir Valley two days back to find out the present atmosphere and political situation in the valley in connection with the welfare of the pilgrims visiting the holy shrine of Shri Amaranth ji at Pahalgam in Kashmir Valley. The President of Shri Ram Sena disclosed that present situation and political atmosphere in Kashmir Valley has improved and expressed hope that the peaceful atmosphere will continue in Kashmir Valley till the pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath ji is over. He said there are some points to be discussed, which he would discuss with the authorities for further improvement & safe journey of the pilgrims of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra.

Rajiv Mahajan, while coming back to the winter capital of J&K State by road said that the climate of Patnitop, Kud was pleasant and many tourists had occupied the places at Patnitop and Kud en-route to Jammu. He noted the climate in Kashmir Valley was not as pleasant as that in Batote, Kud Patnitop enroute Jammu. Mahajan further said that he has appealed to the Honourable Chief Minister as well as Honourable Tourism Minister to develop road transport on the Kashmir- Jammu route, in the interest of the Tourists in general. He also urged the state government to develop tourism in the region by improving the tourist spots at Kud, Mantalai, Sudh Mahadev, Batote, Natha Top, Sanasar top, and Patnitop, etc., which are the most attractive tourist spots, so that tourists from all over India and even abroad can enjoy visiting such tourist sites.
Rajiv Mahajan appreciated the proposal made by then Honourable Chief Minister of J&K Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad to install the GANDOLA i.e Rope Car from Kud to Patnitop for which a stone was laid-down five years back. Mahajan has appealed to the administration of the state government to make its best effort to install the Gandola/Tourist Rope Car service from Kud to Patnitop and vice-versa in the interest of the development of tourism in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.At the end Rajiv Mahajan thanked & congratulated Honourable Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah as well as the Tourism Minister, for making their best efforts for the peaceful journey of the Tourists/Pilgrims visiting Kashmir this year and expressed hope that such situation would continue forever.
