Stage almost set for shifting Arun Jaitley from the finance ministry!
Finally, both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah seem to have set the stage for shifting the 'most powerful' minister in the government Arun Jaitley from the finance ministry.

The recent outbursts by former finance minister Yashwant Sinha, senior journalist Arun Shourie and few others accusing 'worst management' of finance by Modi's regime are said to be targeted only towards Jaitley. It may be recalled that they were 'soft' on the Prime Minister, but 'hard' on the finance minister.

Amit Shah, in recent cabinet meeting, decided to shift Jaitley to defence, paving way for Piyush Goyal to join the finance ministry. But somehow, Jaitley resisted the move and succeeded in passing the defence ministry to his confident Nirmala Sitharaman, preventing the BJP chief from removing her from the cabinet.

Since a more than a year, both Modi and Shah had been planning to bring Piyush Goyal into finance but had failed to shift Jaitley. The emergency meeting held on Thursday evening at Prime Minister's residence with Jaitley and Amit Shah was said to be intended to pave way for smooth transformation of the desired changes. It is strongly being felt that both Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie played the game designed by Amit Shah to put pressure on Jaitley. As per reliable sources, Jaitley is likely to be shifted to the home ministry.

According to sources, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagawat's speech on Vijayadashmi at Nagpur, expressing discontent over economic policies of Modi regime, in a soft, but stubborn way, made the Prime Minister act swiftly to ensure more drastic economic changes in the country. While appreciating various initiatives taken by Narendra Modi, Bhagwat didn't hide his unhappiness over the country's economic scenario.

Rajnath Singh could be made the deputy prime minister to pacify him. Piyush Goyal is almost certain to be inducted into the finance ministry. This will also pave way for a few more changes in the cabinet.

Jaitley was seen coming out of Prime Minister's house in a discontent mood. Later in the evening, several ministers including Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu, Heavy Industries Minister Anant Geete and Civil Aviation Minister Gajapati Raju met Jaitley to pacify him.
