Stalking is an old subject with new stories
Stalking is age old. From mild to compulsive, stalking happens all around the world. From celebrities to common man - everyone is affected by this abnormal behavior.

STALKING STORIES can never go out of fashion as people with some delusion; insecurities and sense of loneliness always stalk the people they feel they love. When celebrities and elite people rank high in a stalker's list, the common people are not left out by this menace. In a recent example, a 42-year-old Dutch lady called up a man 65,000 times in last year, who she thought was her ex-boyfriend. The man who was being harassed denied that they were ever in a relationship.

The 62-year-old victim filed a report with the police in August and on Monday she was arrested. After the arrest, several of her cell phones and computer was taken by the authorities but she vehemently said that she and the man had a relationship. She also said during the preliminary hearing that the calls were not excessive as they were going around.

Stalking is nothing new in the world. Celebrities who have good number of security guards are always a favourite target among stalkers. Jennifer Aniston is a fine example of someone who was granted a restraining order in 2010. Her stalker, 24-year-old Jason Peyton, was waiting for the Friends star, with a sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about Aniston. The court said that Payton had, ‘a history of violence and criminal stalking -- who drove cross-country in his delusional 'mission' to locate and marry (Aniston), with whom he believes he is in a relationship.'

It is not just the celebrities but politician also face a similar kind of fate with stalkers. Who can forget the famous Sarah Palin stalking case, where the former governor of Alaska called in the Alaskan police saying that she believed the stalker would kill her. She was granted a long restraining order from the 18-year-old stalker Shawn R. Christy of McAdoo, in September 2010.

To add a last name to a short list of people who have been stalked would be Justin Timberlake. This pop icon turned Hollywood actor is the apple of many young teenage girls’ eyes but matters went out of hand when Karen McNeil, 28, repeatedly trespassed and broke into the singer's Los Angeles home. He got three year's restraining order from the court in November 2009 after the lady testified that she thought she was destined to marry Timberlake.

The stories behind each stalking incident are both fascinating and sad. The offenders themselves are slaves to their fascination and losses a clear distinction between the truth and fantasy leading them to do such things.
