Star Sports Pro Kabaddi season 3 kicks off today at Vizag; Aamir Khan to sing the National Anthem
The much awaited season 3 of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League will begin today at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag, with defending champions U Mumba taking on Telugu Titans.

Bollywwood actor Aamir Khan will lend his voice for the patriotic rendition of the National Anthem at the opening ceremony. The main highlight of this season of the PKL is that 26 foreign players will be part of the teams apart from Indian players.

Aamir Khan said, "Kabaddi is a purely Indian game, and I am happy to see the popularity it has been getting. Star Sports has been requesting me to sing the National Anthem since the first season and I am glad I finally managed to get the opportunity. It's a real honour!"

Renditions of the National Anthem would be followed for the next three-days by actors Rana Daggubati and Aditi Rao Hydari, providing a reasonable amount of glam quotient to the event.

Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League has surprisingly become the most followed sports league in India, surpassing even the IPL.

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu is expected to attend the opening ceremony today. The U Mumba team will then take on Jaipur Pink Panthers tomorrow, the team owned by Abhishek Bachchan and the winners of season 1 of the league.

Star Sports Pro Kabaddi will be telecast live on Star Sports 2 and Star Sports HD 2 from January 30, 7.30 pm onwards and on Star Sports 3 and Star Sports HD 3 in Hindi.
