The Mitsubishi Outlander, registered in the name of Laila's mother Saleena, was found by the J&K police in Kishtwar, believed to have been used for carrying explosives for the Delhi High Court blasts of September 2011.
The case took a new turn when a case of kidnapping was registered at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai last week on a complaint by Laila's real father Nadir Patel alleging that Parvez Tak and Asif Shaikh, had kidnapped Shelina, Azmina, Laila, Zara, Imran and another relative.
Parvez Tak was arrested some time ago from Jammu in connection with another case. He was arrested by Jammu police in connection with a cheating case and for his alleged links with the Lashkar-e-Taiba.
However, during interrogations, Tak reportedly informed the police that Laila and the other family members were killed on February 4, 2011. Later, he admitted that he had killed Shelina and five others in fit of rage over property matters at their farm house in Igatpuri. Reportedly, Tak killed Shelina first but later killed all of them as they had witnessed Shelina’s murder. He also claimed that victims' dead bodies were dumped in and around the farmhouse.
