Steel tycoon Laxmi Mittal's brother spends Rs. 500 crore on daughters marriage in Europe
The city of Barcelona in Spain came to a near stand still when Pramod Mittal, the younger brother of steel tycoon Laxmi N Mittal hosted a big fat extravagant Indian wedding. Reportedly he has spent almost 500 crores on his daughter's wedding, which was a three day event from December 5 to 7.

According to Forbes the wedding is second only to that of Abu Dhabi crown prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Princess Salama.

Shrishti mittal, the bride and the niece of billionaire steel tycoon Laxmi Mittal got married to a London-based HSBC investment banker Gulraj Behl, in one of the most famous museum in the Spanish City, the National Museum of Catalan Art. The wedding was a mix of Hindu and western ceremonies.

On the first day, the ceremonies and reception took place at city's maritime museum. On the second day the guests visited the Magic Fountain to see a spectacular display of lights and water jets. And on the day of wedding party the main access road to the area was closed to others. Helicopters were also deployed to capture bird’s eye shots of the wedding.

But this became a controversial wedding as Pramod Mittal, owes a lot of money to Indian Banks and has used the Corporate Debt Restructuring (CDR) route for multiple times to escape. He got a loan of worth Rs 130 crore recently to Ispat Industries. But surprisingly he has spent 60 million euros for his daughter's wedding, despite being a bank defaulter.

This shows that, lenders use all the methods to recover money from the common man, but when it comes to rich people in the society, the rules change.
