Stefano was the greatest footballer: Pele
Pele mocked at Maradona's 1986 World Cup heroics and his controversial hands of god goal against England in the quarter final. He said 'Maradona was a great player, but he couldn't kick with his right foot and didn't score goals with his head.'
THE WAR of words between the two legends of footballing world Pele and Diego Maradona continues, Brazlian footballing great Pele has given a new twist to the controversy-who is great Diego Maradona of Argentina or Brazilian Pele. Pele has said that in his opinion, it was another Argentine Di Stefano who is the greatest of all footballers till date and not me or Maradona.    

Diego Maradona who is also the national coach of Argentine team has said last month that he is the greatest footballer in world and Pele doesn’t fit the bill. Pele played most of his football in local Brazilian clubsm, which are not as competitive as European clubs said Maradona. He also said, during his career he (Maradona) played most of his football with leading European clubs and helped them in winning prestigious European league championships.

Pele also mocked at Maradona’s 1986 World Cup heroics and his controversial hands of god goal against England in the quarter final. He said, “Maradona was a great player, but he couldn’t kick with his right foot and didn’t score goals with his head. The only time he scored an important goal with his head, it turned out he had used his hand.”

Addressing reporters in Spanish capital Madrid known across footballing circle black pearl Pele said in his view Di Stefano was the real foootballing hero. He was the greatest of all. He played for Real Madrid and scored 418 goals in 510 games. Stefano who is now a Spanish citizen also won European Player of the year award twice.
