Steve Jobs announces launch of new Apple service - iCloud
The Worldwide Developers Conference saw the latest addition to the Apple's family, iCloud, which will be a platform where music lovers can store music and download songs of their choice.
THE OPENING day of the Worldwide Developers Conference, saw Steve Jobs give a two-hour speech about the new online music and data syncing facility called the iCloud. As we all know, people access a lot of data online and iCloud could be the next best thing for these people, which is what Steve Jobs said on Monday morning in the conference.

While the conference entailed other discussions, iCloud was especially interesting due to its unique features. The most interesting feature being that the iCloud guarantees to replace the personal computer as the central device for storing facilities. Almost everyone who uses a computer or a laptop stores some kind of data such as pictures, music, movies and video. Thus, iCloud could be the perfect solution to this storage problem.

Explaining it to the crowd, the CEO of the Apple said that instead of keeping different devices in sync with each other the iCloud can provide a very simple alternative. iCloud would be the digital hub where all the things and data would be stored. Explaining further, he said, “We are going to demote the PC to just be a device. We are going to move the digital hub, the center of your digital life, into the cloud."

Citing an example Steve Jobs said that it is a very comfortable way to share data, if everything would be stored in the cloud. If a person wants to download the latest version of iTunes, then he/she can easily do it through the cloud, and if a song is not purchased from the iTunes then that song would be added as $25 a year. The only glitch in the whole thing is that a person with only an i-device would have to have access to the virtual cloud.

But people with i-devices will also be able to listen to the entire collection of their music online on their PCs, iPads, iPhones and iPods. Songs would not have to be manually transferred anymore. The Apple users would be able to go through other people’s iTunes and stream any song they like. To make matters more smooth Apple is acquiring labels from different brands and songs. Thus, we can say that this is Apple’s another masterpiece, which is bound to be a hit with the people.
