Delhi Government is working on enacting stringent laws to curb drinking at public places such as park, bus stand and railway station. With Delhi Excise Act 2009 anyone caught drinking liquor at public places will be penalised with a fine of Rs 5000.
ALL THOSE people who love partying at public places with their friends in national capital Delhi, be ready to pay hefty fine if caught or learn to follow law as Government of Delhi is working on enacting stringent laws to curb drinking at public places such as park, bus stand and railway station.
According to sources the Government of Delhi is planning to bring a legislation in its winter session to curb the menace of liquor drinking at public places. Although there is already a law to curb the drinking of liquor at public places but it is too liberal-if caught a person will have to deposit a nominal fine of Rs 200-/ and moreover it is a bailable warrant. Through Delhi Excise Act 2009 anyone caught drinking liquor at public places will be penalised with a fine of Rs 50000-/.
One more law in pipeline, there are already plenty of laws to check crime, terrorism, dowry death, rape, corruption and others but these blot on beautiful fabric of our society are increasing but shrinking, why, who will ensure accountability and responsibility in our country? Many a times it has been found law maker himself was law breaker.
