Stress gender equity and cooperative learning to recreate educational institutions as communities of learners
It you closely examine that the educational institutions and classroom practices, you will find them governed by patriarchal principles of control, suppression, competition, labelling, discrimination, blaming, passing judgement, lecturing which leads to marginalization and exploitation of girls and women.

Currently, the education system does not include the insights and lived experiences of females into education. Both the family and education systems are riddled with gender bias that favour masculinity and subjugate females.

Gender differences are needed to be recognized and respected. Gender is one the most prominent diversity among learners and we need to gender equity in education and more so in Science, Technology and Mathematics (STM) education, in which the structures of textual material and classroom processes are based on linear logical thinking, which is a dominant male straight.

Unfortunately, the feminist critique is also male oriented since hardly any female raises voice against the gender bias in the subject matter structures and classroom processes which continue to be the reflection of patriarchal society. Presently, the institutional management is 'manly' and 'competitive' and anti-female.

However, some feminist pedagogues and educators have started raising voice against the linear absolutes of males' ways of knowledge construction and transaction. They have started demanding equal value to female ways of living and learning such as care, share, nurturance, cooperation, multi-modal communication, non-art use of various arts as medium of learning, social implications of various topics, etc.

Feminine pedagogues argue that learning is innate both the genders and it is social process based on care, cooperation and share. Competition has no place in education and there is gender diversity in the way of learning of men and women which should be respected for gender equity.

For equality in education, the management of institutions has to be democratic and participatory along with the use of cooperative and collaborative methods of learning. The humanistic model of institutional management and classroom processes are equally accommodative of both men and women in learning and to education a matter joy and non-aggression.

I think, the root cause of present  trouble at Baranas Hindu University, in which the female sensibilities were offended and voices of girls were not heard is lack of gender equity and 'manly' or non-democratic management structures.
