The spine provides flexibility and mobility to the body, but some improper postures or injuries may cause the spine to compress, which may lead to pain and can reduce the flexibility and mobility of the spine.
There are numerous stretching exercises for spine that will help you to stretch your back muscle, decompress the spine and reduce the pain. But before doing these exercises, as explained in the video by indiainteracts, you need to keep these points in mind:
The outfit used while exercising should be comfortable.
The stretching should not cause any pain.
Do the exercise slowly and avoid the tearing of muscles.
Choose a clean and flat surface to exercise.
Aditya, a trainer from Energises has demonstrated some innovative mobility exercise for thoracic spine which is below the cervical and above the lower back. To do this mobility exercise you have to take a kneeling position, and now cross your hands and keep it above your shoulders and pull your umbilicus inside and be straight.
Now, turn towards your left as much as possible, till your edge of comfort and emphasis your normal breath. Come back to the normal position and repeat the same to your right. Do this for about fifteen times in two sets, reported in indiainteracts.
Always consult your doctor before implementing any stretching exercises or routine exercises to relieve pain.
