Strong local content strengthens BIG 92.7 FM
BIG 92.7 FM, India’s number one FM station and a radio initiative from Adlabs Films Ltd, has again proved its supremacy in the latest radio audience measurement (RAM) findings. BIG FM has consolidated its leadership in Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata.
BIG 92.7 FM,India’s number one FM station backed by its strong local content along with festive season has yet again proved its supremacy in the latest radio audience measurement (RAM) findings. BIG FM has consolidated its leadership position in Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata clearly proving to be the number one choice of listeners. BIG 92.7 FM Bangalore and Mumbai continue to enjoythe highest average share. BIG 92.7 FM Kolkata is the number one station among the core target audience for most advertisers, 20 to 34 years, SEC AB, with the highest share.

BIG 92.7 FM in Mumbai has the highest average share of 18.4 per cent across the last four weeks in a row for the period September 28 to October 25.

BIG FM in Bangalore is an undisputed number one with an average share of 26 per cent while the second highest station, Radio Mirchi is only at 16 per cent. Its local positioning on Smart Kannadiga wit and humor has enabled it to stay on top for 18 consecutive weeks.

Big 92.7 FM Kolkata is the clear favourite among the core target audience of most advertisers – 20 to 34 years old SEC AB, well ahead of Radio Mirchi with a 26 per cent share.

Festive season along with BIG 92.7 FM’s strong local content has been the backbone for these continued leadership ratings being reflected in RAM. BIG 92.7 FM had created innovative, exciting content during Navaratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali and Durga Puja in Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata respectively resulting in increase in audience. BIG 92.7 FM’s Diwali special “BIG Diwali Bonus” was a big hit among listeners which gave them a chance to take part in various contests and win loads of prizes. As a part of the Diwali on-air offering, BIG 92.7 FM, ran on-air quizzes across its shows from 7.00 am to 9.00 pm, in which listeners had a chance to win cash prizes and other goodies like i-pods and laptops. Similarly, Navaratri was celebrated in a grand manner with loads of listener interactions and the station tied up with singers Preeti and Pinky for the Garba celebrations and took the listeners for a ride in the BIG bus to meet Preety and Pinky – Mumbai’s most famous Dandiya singers. BIG 92.7 FM Bangalore celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in an innovative way by launching a talent hunt called “Innovative Ganesha”, this was a contest to identify the best comedian in Bangalore since Ganesha is known for his talent, wit and wisdom. These creative local content mixed with the festival spirit added great value to listeners and clients alike and helped BIG 92.7 FM to achieve number one position among listeners.
