Three new faces to be launched in a big budget movie means a lot of pressure on the director and the producer but not so when the director and producer are Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan. Student of the Year cast is making on and off appearances and gearing up for the challenge.
Varun Dhawan in a press conference shared Salman Khan's words of appreciation, “I got good response although I couldn't go to my home and show him as he was not home but he saw the trailer on YouTube and called me. He praised me and said that I have done a great job and it was really sweet,” reported network1media. Sidharth Malhotra who is from a non-filmi background, told the press about his assisting days and how luckily modeling did not work out for him. Alia Bhatt on the other hand said that she would really like to work with Ranbir Kapoor.
Karan Johar is really excited about the music of the film that is being given by the popular duo Vishal Shekhar. Karan Johar, commenting about the music, said, “There is every kind of song in the movie. Hip hop, theme song, romantic and cook songs are in the movie making it a very versatile album.”
One of the songs Disco Deewane is already making a buzz in a lot of places. A remix of an old song, it is a peppier version with the three leads moving to the music, and it is visually very appealing. Johar talks about the song and says, “I love the fact that people are loving the disco deewane new version. When we were growing up during the 80s we were in the forte of disco and disco deewane was one of the most popular disco songs and so after 20 years I thought why not bring it back.”
He also talks about the special appearance of Kajol in the film and in the song. He also says that he doesn't like breaking tradition and since Kajol has been in his every film he wanted her to be present in this one too. Talking about lighter moments on the set, he also recounts an incident whereby Varun was severely injured by Sid in a fight scene.
