Countries with particularly high suicide rates should involve themselves in various research projects to try and reach a solution to this lethal tendency.
SUICIDE IS the act of deliberately killing oneself. Most people, who commit suicide do so for personal reasons. The death of a close friend or relative may lead a person to commit suicide. Fear of the future or of failure at school or college causes some student suicides. Some children commit suicide if they feel that their parents do not love them.
Mental illness may also lead to suicide. Some people believe that patients suffering from a hopeless illness should be permitted to kill themselves if they desire. However, most nations have laws against helping someone to commit suicide. Society plays an important part in some suicides. As a society becomes more complicated, it exerts more pressure to perform. Employed people are at much greater risk than the non-working population. Famous sociologist Durkheim explained that Military and such other people who feel that they have betrayed the ideals of their society may also kill themselves. Such suicides are/ were common among masses.
Any person considering suicide exhibits certain warning signs. The most important warning sign is an expressed feeling of hopelessness. The person may also express a loss of interest in living or a wish to die. Other signs include listless behaviour, depression or sleeping or awakening too much, severe weight gain or loss, loss of appetite, and headaches. Marital relation is also an important factor for any sensitive spouse to end his/her life. To understand the psychology of the affected person is a very difficult task. Recently there were newspaper reports which say three more commit suicide over Telengana. Same trend had been noticed during the times of the Reservation issue etc. Now days the worrying trend of disturbed students choosing to finish their lives is on the upsurge and students of class sixth, seventh and nine are committing suicide. Few of them were allegedly suspended for bunking school. The single city of Mumbai is struggling to find out what is troubling young minds. There have been more than 20 suicides in the last 15 days. These suicides are challenging the theory of suicide described by famous sociologist Durkheim .According to him only adults commit suicide due to tension of not having life partner or suitable life partner. In some cases issueless parents also feel bad and feel frustrated, which encourage them towards suicidal tendency. Now days due to materialism and selfish attitude, children are not behaving according to parents’ wishes and single parents develop this tendency. One of the most effective ways of check suicide appears to be limiting the availability of the means most often used to kill oneself. These means include handguns, prescriptions of potentially lethal medications, poisonous items etc. Many countries have established suicide prevention centres. People considering suicide can telephone these centres and discuss their problems, issues and challenges. Countries with particularly high suicide rates include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, India and Switzerland should involve themselves in various research projects to try and reach a solution to this lethal tendency.
.One commom cause for the suicide case is the lack of communiction and emotional comfort between the two. If we can correct this, we can revert a lot more of incidences. If emotions and communication flows properly between parents and child , the child wil never think that his parents don love him, he wil never fear to come back home, after getting scoldings from the teacher or for bunking classes. Between husband and wife, there will be no more divorse. As a child its hard to understand the meaning of positive thinking, but in this case only the comfort provided by his parents can make him feel confident and act appropriately as the situation exist.
.In the abovementioned cases, it is evident that individuals commit suicide when they are unhappy. They forget that being happy or unhappy is in our own hands. It is our negative thoughts to the stimulus present that leads to unhappiness. Happiness is simply a state of our own creation of positive thoughts.
Problems are an inevitable part of human life. We need to response to the stimulus rather than reacting to them. It may be difficult to think positively but is certainly easy from the pains we would otherwise undergo from the very onset of the negative thoughts.
Let us not forget that negative thinking is a continuous chain of thoughts which leads to melancholic state but a positive perception and a positive feedback to your mind would mount to mental solace and thereby you can see the problem clearly and solve it.
I can guarantee that in the end you would be happy to solve the problem single-handedly and the idea of suicide would never come to your mind from the very moment you start thinking positively. Always remember that thoughts whether positive or negative are energies that are created in our mind and not by outside stimulus. And the very way we behave in crisis, is a result of our negative conditioning which can be altered if we wish to do so.
