Sultan review: A complete family entertainer with a strong message!
The much-awaited sports-drama 'Sultan' starring Salman Khan in the lead role, has been released today on the occasion of Eid. The film that has a decent dose of emotion, romance and music has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who has also written the film's story. Similar to Salman's typical flicks, Sultan too is full of commercial elements.

'Sultan', that deals with the story of Sultan Ali Khan, a wrestler from Haryana, is about a man who wins the world. It portrays the harsh and striking journey of Sultan's life and how he regains his lost glory, despite all odds with ultimate passion and grit. Salman's last release was a blockbuster, but will Sultan be able to spread the same magic, let's find out!

Cast: Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda

Director: Ali Abbas Zafar

Genre: Sports, Drama

Duration: 2 hours 50 minutes

IMDb Rating: 5.5/10

Salman Khan hardly disappoints his fans and in this film too, he has taken special care of his admirers. The film has all sorts of commercial ingredients that Bhai's fans love to watch. Probably, that's what makes his films good entertainers.

The story of the film revolves around Sultan Ali Khan (Salman Khan), a wrestler from a small town in Haryana. He maintains a habit of winning. But then, comes a major twist in his life that ends almost everything. He faces many troubles in his professional as well as personal life. But how he overtakes all odds and attains global fame, forms the crux of the story.

With a fascinating tale,"Sultan" has a brilliant message to deliver. The entry of Salman Khan in the film is 'dhamakedaar' and the film connects with the audience well. While Sultan's success will bring a smile on your face, you also feel his pain during his failures. The film has a stunning screenplay along with a cracking grip over narration that keeps the audience involved throughout.

However, the second half of the film might distract you, as it is not as interesting as the first half. But the climax is clap worthy.

The performances of the lead actors, be it Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma or Randeep Hooda are top-notch. Salman as a wrestler has delivered a sterling performance. Anushka, though has a small role, but still stands tall in the film and has done justice with her character. The performance of Randeep Hooda is also one of the assets of the film.

The masses relate well with Indian kushti, that has been used as the backdrop of the film. However, the fighting scenes in the film are just about average. Overall, Sultan is an absolute entertainer that will certainly break many box office records. This family entertainer will make Eid even more special for Salman fans.
