Sunil Gavaskar to seek Modi Govt's advice on attending Imran Khan's swearing-in
Indian battig legend Sunil Gavaskar has been invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Pakistan's future Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Gavaskar said that he had received an invite from Imran's office, his party, on Saturday.

Sunil Gavaskar said, "I got the invitation to attend Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony. I had received a phone call from Imran's party. But so far the date of his oath ceremony has not been fixed. When the date will be fixed, the official invitation will come."

However, Gavaskar has not yet decided to go as he has prior commitments like doing commentary in the second Test match at Lords between India and England.

Gavaskar further said, "Apart from this, I would also like permission and advice from the Government of India. After that I will take a decision. If the government permits, I can go."

Former Indian opener Navjot Singh Sidhu, speaking about Imran's oath taking ceremony said, "I am waiting for the official invitation. If I get an official invitation then I will go."

Imran Khan's party PTI in the recent general elections in Pakistan had emerged as the largest party by winning 116 seats and will soon the next government in the country.
