COUNTRY SINGER Carrie Underwood will be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl XLIV game on February 7, 2010. The All American girl singer who rose to fame with American Idol was chosen on Thursday to sing the anthem.
Carrie Underwood will join big names like Beyonce, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston, who have sung the National anthem at Super Bowl games.
She will not be the only performer at the Indianapolis Colts vs New Orleans Saints game. She will be joined by actress and singer Queen Latifah, who will lend her voice to the song "America the Beautiful", apart from The Who, which would provide entertainment during the game half time.
The Super XLIV game will be held in Miami and is the first appearence for the New Orleans Saints at a Super Bowl game. It is also the second time that both number one seeded teams are in a Super Bowl game.
