THE SUPER Bowl 2010 commercials are very popular in the state and catch maximum eye balls. It has been said that many audiences watch particularly the super bowl ads. Though it was heard that this year Pepsi opted out of it, but it did shell out a lot of money for publicity on the YouTube.
Sources say that the Super Bowl commercials compete within themselves and this game gives the advertisers an idea of their brand appeal in the market and helps them in brand positioning. A 30 seconds ad during the game costs approximately $500 million. These ads are expected to be extremely creative and innovative.
According to a survey conducted in the USA almost 40 per cent of the viewers tune in to watch only the Super Bowl commercials. Considering the mass appeal of the whole gamut of the game, companies like Google, Audi, CareerBuilder’s, Bridgestone, Budweiser, US Census and many other participated in this event.
It was said that the total revenue from Super Bowl commercials in 2009 was $213 million and in 2010 it is estimated to cross this margin. But it has been also observed that the US economy is still passing through a critical phase and this has impacted the commercials.
