Supreme Court to hear Kanimozhi's bail plea today
The Supreme Court will be hearing bail pleas of MP Kanimozhi and Kalingar TV MD Sharad Kumar, today on 20 June 2011 for their role in the 2G spectrum case. The matter would be looked into by a special bench comprising of Justice G S Singhvi.

FATE HANGS on the balance for DMK MP Kanimozhi and Kalingar TV MD Sharad Kumar on Monday, June 20 2011 as the Supreme Court will be hearing their bail pleas in their involvement in the 2G spectrum case. The Delhi High court have already rejected her bail plea previously, which left her disappointed, so she does not expect things to be any easier today too.

The CBI has also come out hard against the accused as they are against the bail of the duo. They have also said that Kanimozhi is one of the main persons involved in the 2G spectrum case. The CBI alleges that Kanimozhi was the one who planned to accept 214 crores in the infamous telephone scam.

The matter would be looked into by a special bench that have been formed by Chief Justice of India Justice S H Kapadia. It would comprise of Justice G S Singhvi and Justice B S Chauhan, who have a big task on their hands. MP Kanimozhi has been on jail since May 20 and wants to get a bail immediately at any cost.

MP Kanimozhi’s mother Rajathiammal is expecting better results this time around. So, she has flown over to Delhi for her daughter’s bail plea. She hopes to come out of the court with a smile on her face like many of her close associates. They must have put their fingers crossed.
