Surat fire tragedy at coaching center leaves at least 20 dead and many injured
A massive fire broke out in Taxshila Complex building having a coaching center at Surat taking the life of at least 20 people.

The videos showed over 10 of the trapped people jumping off the third and fourth floor of the building after breaking windowpanes. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has ordered a probe into the tragic incident. The fire has been put off and rescue operations are underway. Condolences on social media are taking rounds.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and expressed deep anguish over the incident. "Extremely anguished by the fire tragedy in Surat. My thoughts are with bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. Have asked the Gujarat Government and local authorities to provide all possible assistance to those affected,"  he tweeted.

Gujrat CM Rupani tweeted, "Deeply saddened by the news of Surat fire tragedy. Instructed officials to do needful. My prayers are with all those affected. May those who have been injured recover at the earliest. I pray for the departed souls. Om Shanti."

In Jaipur, parents are worried on the mushrooming coaching centers with hardly any safety measures and a few years ago afire tragedy had occurred at a coaching center and strict measures were announced but hardly to any effect.
