IN A shocking piece of news, Jennifer Lopez and singer husband Marc Anthony announced the end of their seven year marriage. The fans were aghast as the couple looked really happy and in love in all the recent public appearances that they made. The singer, actor and American Idol judge, JLo said that it was a mutual decision and that it was a difficult one.

It was the third attempt of Jennifer Lopez’s at marriage and Marc Anthony’s second. The couple have twins through the marriage. When Jennifer made her last appearance in BAFTA in Los Angeles, she was accompanied by her mother and not by Marc, which raised the suspicion for many that something of this sort was in the pipeline.

However, a split was completely out of cards because as recently as March, Jennifer told USA TODAY that they, “challenge each other in a way that only the two of us could. It's awesome." Even Anthony seemed happy with his better-half when he joked about Lopez In USA TODAY.

Fans would definitely be looking for a clue of the breakup in her latest album 'Love'.

The marriage of the couple was a secretive affair and so was the breakup. Marc married Lopez after a much publicised divorce. Both were friends and one time couple and they had some very good moments together. Talking about her marital bliss with Marc Anthony, Jennifer says, “The first two years we were kind of in wedded bliss. The third and fourth year, we just did everything together. He produced my album. We did the movie. We went on tour. We had the babies. We just got to the point, after the babies were born, when we realized that he has a responsibility to his fans and I have a responsibility to my fans.”

Well! This might be a lame excuse but it is good to see that they have the maturity to part ways like respectable  human beings. While it must be painful for them but they are dignified in front of the whole world. The fans would miss the combination of two great performers together but we are sure that they would remain FRIENDS!
