IT APPEARS that Susan Boyle is feeling strained due to her hectic schedule. The middle aged singing star was giving a live performance for the NBC's Today show, when many noted that she had broken down and taken for a break by an aide. The performance was taking place in the Rock Centre café at the Rockefeller Centre.
She had been overwhelmed when she was gifted a quilt handstiched by her fan from UK, USA, Canada, Mexico, Poland, Japan and Antarctica. Though spokesperson for
Susan Boyle, West Lothian clarified that she was extremely touched by the sentimental gift, people are believing that she is succumbing to strain from the American leg of her tour, promoting her new album.
Susan Boyle was seen chewing her thumb, before she hurriedly left the table and bursting into tears. A few moments later, she had composed herself and returned to the stage to perform a little dance.
The 48 year old singer has been no stranger to such strains. During Britain's Got Talent, the show that catapulted her to fame, even if she was not able to win the title, she had an anxiety attack and was admitted to the Priory hospital.
After the show ended, Boyle became so popular in the music world, that about 130,000 copies of her first music album were sold on the day it released . About 400,000 copies are expected to be sold by the end of the week, making
Susan Boyle's music the biggest and fastest selling album.
On the other hand, Simon Cowell has produced an hour long documentary on the singing sensation entitled “I Dream a Dream: The
Susan Boyle Story”. It would be telecast on TV Guide Channel on December 13 and would showcase her metaphorical journey from rags to riches.
