RAKHI KA Swayamvar not only got immensely popular but slowly the whole nation was gripped in the search for the ideal groom for the drama queen. Imagine is yet again, very soon coming up with the second season of the hugely popular Swayamvar series.

This time the groom in waiting would be the controversial figure Rahul Mahajan. Rahul is all set to search his bride through Swayamvar Season 2, Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega. The search for the ideal life partner will involve nationwide audition process, meetings and interviews with the shortlisted candidates. A total of sixteen girls will be seen wooing Rahul, in Rahul Dulhaniya Le Jaayega (RDLJ)

Sameer Nair, CEO, NDTV Imagine said that Swayamvar Season 2 is back due to the popularity it gained in the first season. He added that they were all very pleased with the spectacular response to the season 1 and what began as an idle voyeurism quickly changed into genuine interest and a strong desire for Rakhi to find the right man with whom she could share her life with. There had been a great change in the audience’s perception about Rakhi during the show. Lastly he said, “Buoyed by the acceptance, connect and success of the concept, Imagine is pleased to announce the launch of Swayamvar Season 2 with Rahul Mahajan. The show has in many ways become a fulfiller of dreams and we hope to do the same with Rahul, helping him to find his ideal Dulhan. He is someone who already has a connect with the audience at large and we are confident that it will only grow as we proceed. ”

Rahul Mahajan announced his decision to be a part of the Swayamvar and said that a lot had happened with him in the last three years and he wants to start a new chapter of his life with a new beginning. He said that he has decided to find his life partner on Imagine and appreciated the way Imagine handled Rakhi ka Swayamvar with sensitivity and seriousness along with maintaining the entertainment factor for the audience. He added that he is really looking forward to find his partner, with whom he would be spending the rest of his life.

Swayamvar Season 2 will have the 16 prospective brides coming under one roof and undergoing a series of tasks and challenges, which will uncover their personality, match the compatibility with Rahul and thus help him in taking the final call. Rahul’s friends and family will also join him and help him in his search for his life partner.

Now it remains to be seen whether the 16 girls would be wooing Rahul or would it be the other way round? Only if Monica Bedi and Payal Rohatgi are amongst the 16 prospective brides in the Swayamvar Season 2, then it would surely be double fun, full of masti and masala.
