Symbolic session in Orissa assembly
Debi Prasanna Chand MLA, Jaleswar presided over the symbolic session, comprising of members of the assembly who had been staying in the assembly, since the adjournment of the session by a majority support.
AFTER AN abrupt adjournment of the winter session of the Orrisa state legislative assembly, eleven working days ahead of schedule, the opposition parties - Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress and three independent members, began a symbolic session in the assembly lobby on Monday, December 7, as a protest against the pre adjournment of the winter session ahead of schedule. Meanwhile, the symbolic session passed the proposal on hand over the enquiry of Mines scam to CBI, which had caused a lot of commotion earlier.
