INDIA'S THIRD largest passenger car maker, Tata Motors has finally come up with the list of one lakh Nano applicants, who will be delivered the car by the end of March 2010. The company will start delivery of cars from July this year.
In a recently issued statement, the company said, “Tata Motors is pleased to announce that it has completed the process to select the first 1,00,000 owners of the Tata Nano from among 2,06,703 final list of applicants, who had booked the car.” The statement also said that 55,021 applicants out of the 106,703 not selected in the first phase had exercised the option to retain their booking. They will be given preferential delivery of car in the second phase.
“The retainees would be offered 8.5 per cent interest on the booking amount if the car is delivered within two years from the date of allotment and 8.75 per cent if the car is delivered after two years from the date. The interest will be paid directly to the retainees by the company,” Tata Motors said. Each applicant will contacted personally and the delivery of car will be done thereafter. Tata Motors is also offering special offers to the retainees on Tata Indica range along with Titan and Westside gift vouchers, which can be redeemed at any outlet of these companies across India.
