Team India announced for ODIs against South Africa
Indian selectors headed by former Indian opener Kris Srikkanth today announced the team. Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma and middle order batsman Rohit Sharma have been dropped from the squad.
THE BOARD of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today announced the 16-man squad for the One Day Internationals and a T20 match against South Africa. Team India will play five ODIs and only T20 game followed the Tests, starting from January 9.

Indian selectors headed by former Indian opener Kris Srikkanth today announced the team. Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma and middle order batsman Rohit Sharma have been dropped from the squad. Ravindra Jadeja has also lost his place in the team. Leg spinner Piyush Chawla, who has not played for India from 2008, is the only new name in the 16-man list.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be seen in the ground after a long time in ODIs. He played last for the country on February 24 against South Africa at Captain Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior, where he became the first ODI cricketer to score double hundred in this format of the game.

The 16-man Indian squad includes captain MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, R. Ashwin, Yusuf Pathan, Piyush Chawla, S. Sreesanth.

Earlier on Saturday, BCCI had announced a 30-man preliminary squad for the Cricket World Cup. 2011.
