Team India making lame excusese for ICC T20 world cup fiasco
India did not perform well and crashed out of the ICC World Twenty20 and captain Dhoni gave some lame excuses.
EVEN AS India is out of the ICC World Twenty20, skipper M S Dhoni’s excuse that IPL is the reason of this failure, does not seem justified. When the Indian Premier League concluded, the ICC World T20 just began in the Caribbean islands.

In the meantime most of the top Indian players were exhausted, including captain Dhoni, who lead Chennai Super Kings to victory. Moreover India was playing without the explosive opener Virender Sehwag and several players carried injuries. Though India had a flying start against South Africa, the momentum was lost with back to back defeats against Australia, West Indies and Sri Lanka.

Fatigue was quite visible in the Men in Blue’s approach. They did not rise up to the occasion and simply failed to give the best for their country. Now skipper M S Dhoni is blaming the IPL schedule and the late night parties for this fiasco. But this could not be the answer for the dismal show. Former players and the experts criticised the skipper for his comments and rightly so, no one asked the players to attend late-night parties and deteriorate their fitness levels.

They are professionals and cricket should always come first, not the partying and celebrations. Here BCCI should also take some steps to bring the professionalism among the players. Hope our guys take some lessons from their Australians counterparts.
