According to media reports, a senior officer said, "The action of dismissal of the jawan has been taken under Border Security Force Act that is applicable to all personnel serving in the paramilitary force."
Officials told that the action had been taken on the basis of a report of staff court of inquiry which found him guilty of making false charges.
The officer informed that Yadav hadthree months of time to appeal against the verdict. Yadav was transferred to the headquarters of his 29 battalion after controversy had erupted because of his video that went viral on social media. He had also alleged the involvement of senior officers in corrupt practices in the said video. At that time, Prime Minister's Office had also sought a detailed report from the Central home ministry and BSF regarding the video.
