Telangana Cricket Association optimistic of getting recognition from BCCI
The newly-floated body of Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) is optimistic of getting recognition from the BCCI. TCA's Vice-President Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, MP told the media here on Wednesday that the primary objective of the TCA was to develop cricket in interior areas of the districts.
TCA's Vice-President Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, MP told the media here on Wednesday that the primary objective of the TCA was to develop cricket in interior areas of the districts.

He said, "We have been in constant touch with the BCCI top brass and also Central ministers to get the affiliation to give impetus to our efforts. About 16 coaching camps so far in districts. Unlike other associations we ensure transparency for there are no motives in our efforts. We are here for the benefit of the young talent which is denied the chances to showcase its skills."

Reddy added that, he as the President of Telangana Development Forum, USA Inc, held talks with top BCCI officials and leading players - past and present - of Indian cricket in the US recently.

Y. Laxminarayana, TCA President, said that the Hyderabad Cricket Association was confined to promoting the game in and around Hyderabad only.

"The association want to change this as there has been no focus on districts. The fact that politicians cutting across the parties have joined hands to form the TCA, it may be a reminder of our seriousness and commitment to realise our dream of seeing a true Telangana boy represent India one day."
