Telangana issue becomes more complicated with every passing day

The issue of Andhra- Telangana has become more complicated than before. The home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde with his 'inexperience' to troubleshoot has made the issue much more confused. The Congress high command is much worried about the Telangana issue which is becoming harder with every passing day.

The government has finally given its ‘go-ahead’ signal to Telangana protesters at Indira Park of lower tank bund. The Police Commissioner Mr. Anurag Sharma has given permission for a 36-hour protest, which would end by 6pm today (Monday).

The mediation of MLC Chukaa Ramaiah and people’s singer Gaddar with the Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy has yielded fruits and immediately the Police Commissioner gave green signal to the protest demonstration but asked for restricting the gathering to two thousand people only.

Prior to this students of Osmania University went out to lay a siege around the Raj Bhavan and police had to tear gas them to drive them out of the area. Prof. Kodanda Ram who is the Chairman of Political JAC, is determined to go to Indira Park with agitators in big numbers.

Notably, home minister Shinde has chosen January 28 to make a statement on the Telangana issue. But later the health minister and in charge of AP Congress affairs Gulab Nabi Azad interpreted that the statement could come even before or after the Jan 28 deadline, leading to an outrage among Telangana supporters.

Meanwhile, the leaders of Rayalaseema and Andhra organized a big rally in Rajamundry few days back under the flag of ‘Jai Andhra Pradesh’, in which the Parliament Member of Rajamundray Mr. Undavalli Aruna Kumar criticized the Telangana leaders like Nizam Police Chief Rizvi. This remark made all the leaders of Telangana angry. The Telangana leaders have decided to answer the ‘Undavalli’ with a huge meeting within a week.

The Congress core committee has been continuously meeting for the last couple of days to resolve the issue of Telangana but has been unable to reach a decision. Some news reports say that Shinde will make an announcement before he departs to Dhaka.
