AS MANY as twelve ministers from Dr K Rosaiah’s cabinet are attempting to create constitutional crisis by keeping away from the cabinet meeting scheduled to be held on December 30, 2009, and leaving for Delhi on Sunday to meet party high command.
These ministers have already sent their resignation letters to party chief Sonia Gandhi, however, experts stating those resignations are not valid as they were not in proper form and all the ministers singed on the same paper.
The opposition parties are questioning the `sincerity’ of Congress ministers challenging them to submit their resignations to Chief Minister or Governor.

As they are stating to remain in Delhi lobbying with party high command seeking a time frame for formation of Telangana state, they are bound to absent from the regular cabinet meeting to be held on Wednesday.
The ministers, who met at the residence of Civil Supplies Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Saturday (December 26), said that till the Centre give specific assurance on Telangana state. In view of resignations submitted to the party president, they have decided not to attend official duties as ministers and also not attending their offices in the secretariat.
Fearing that attending cabinet meeting would send wrong signals among people in the region, the ministers seems planed Delhi trip at the time of cabinet meeting.
Meanwhile, Congress leaders are in re-thinking on the issue of continuing in Joint Action Committee formed with Telangana Rashtra Samithi chief K Chandrasekhara Rao. Immediately after home minister P Chidambaram’s statement on Friday (December 25) evening, Rao rushed to the house of former home minister and senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy proposing joint action on the issue.
Immediately Congress and TRS leaders gave call for two-day Telangana bandh. However, later the bandh was restricted to one day responding to the appeal from Christian community in view of Christmas on the second day.
Now, Congress leaders who have joined with KCR are getting pressure from the party cadre against the arrangement. As Congress is alone capable of getting Telangana state, party cadre arguing that the party should capitalise any credit and should not share dais with other political parties.
