Terror strikes possible in Delhi, warning issued
The US government has warned its citizens about possible terror strikes especially in Delhi. A senior government official has said 'there is credible information.'
THE US continues to receive information about terrorist groups planning attacks against India. US authorities confirmed, "credible information about terrorists planning to carry out strike in some Indian cities and target American nationals, and US Embassy in New Delhi.”
"Markets, such as those located in Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Greater Kailash, Karol Bagh, Mehrauli, and Sarojini Nagar, can be especially attractive targets for terrorist groups," said the Warden message.
Apart from the US, Australia and Canada have also alerted their citizens.
US Embassy in New Delh, on Wednesday, Apr 21, issued a 'Warden Message' alerting Americans in India of potential terror strike particularly at places where US citizens or westerner tourists are known to visit.
"Markets, such as those located in Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Greater Kailash, Karol Bagh, Mehrauli, and Sarojini Nagar, can be especially attractive targets for terrorist groups," said the Warden message.
Apart from the US, Australia and Canada have also alerted their citizens.
