Terrorists attack army camp in Jammu & Kashmir's Sunjwan; 2 jawans dead, 4 others injured
Residential quarters located inside an army camp at Sunjawan, Jammu came under attack from terrorists on Saturday morning at around 5 am leaving two jawans including a JCO dead.

JCO Madan Lal Choudhary and his daughter were injured in the indiscriminate firing by the terrorists. Choudhary later succumbed to his injuries. Although the firing is reported to have stopped, but the terrorists are still holed up inside with the operation still on.

While no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack, it is believed to be an attack by the JeM. The attack could have been worse given the fact that the residential area has a school inside as well. The police have also said that it is also not clear how many terrorists are involved in the attack but their number could be between three and four.

The CRPF has cordoned off the area, heavy security has been deployed at all entry and exit points, and a high security alert has been issued.

India Today has reported that the terrorists used a nallah on the backside to gain entry into the camp. Firstpost has reported that they also hurled a grenade at the camp.

The attack comes after the intelligence agencies had warned of the possibility a terror strike in view of the death anniversary of Afzal Guru who was hanged on February 9, 2013.
