The pilot who crashed a single engine Cirrus SR22 into the Echelon Building in Austin, Texas this Tuesday, was identified as Joseph Andrew Stack . The office building houses the offices of the CIA as well as the IRS.
It is believed that the crash was intentional, and the crash injured two people, notwithstanding the dead pilot. It’s apparent from Stack’s suicide note that the crash was actually a premeditated strike on the offices of the IRS and CIA. In the suicide note, Stack had written “The communist creed: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed"
According to the FAA, the plane was stolen from the Georgetown airport in North Austin. The plane took off at 9.40 AM and slammed into the Echelon building at 10 AM. A leading news channel has reported that the pilot may have also set his house on fire, before taking off on a plane.
